Our Philanthropy

At Bare Escentuals, we believe that giving is beautiful, and that the actions of each individual can collectively have the power to change the world. In March of 2007, we created our BE Cares corporate philanthropy program to support and bring awareness to organizations and initiatives that promote education, provide aid and increase one's self worth. We are committed to these ends by expressing our values and serving as ambassadors of change in our workplace and community of friends and family.

Our Charitable Causes

Keeping close to our roots in beauty and skincare, during BE Cares' first year, we partnered with three organizations that advocate education, detection and treatment of various skin conditions: Lupus Foundation of America, National Rosacea Society and The Skin Cancer Foundation. These three organizations received 100% of the profits from designated bareMinerals products. And BE Cares did not stop there. To elevate the level of awareness and understanding of these skin conditions, we provided point-of-sale education to inform customers about skin cancer statistics, signs of rosacea and the consequences of lupus. In addition, BE Cares also contributed to The Sunshine Lady Foundation which invests in organizations dedicated to providing education in order to eliminate abuse, poverty, and economic dependence for women and children.

Along with our charitable organizations, we also proudly support the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Foundation. Bare Escentuals is an advocate for their Cancer and Careers initiative. This program provides information and guidance to working women dealing with cancer along with their employers. Through a new limited-edition eye color, Loli Glimmer, created by one of our customers, Bare Escentuals was able to provide funds for ongoing efforts of the CEW Foundation.

Our Sincerest Gratitude

Thanks to each and every one of you who have made BE Cares such a huge success. After the overwhelming results from the first year, we are eagerly looking forward to the future. For 2008, we will expand our reach to include victims of natural disasters as well as those charitable organizations who support women's health and self-esteem issues.
